Arizona Lutheran Academy (ALA) is a high school located in Phoenix, Arizona. The school is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The high school was founded in 1978, and has been located in its present 18-acre (73,000 m2) campus since 1986.
The school typically has about 200 enrolled students.
ALA is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Accreditation and School Improvement.
The school's mascot is the coyote and its colors black and gold. ALA is a member of the 2A Metro Region of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).
Basketball
ALA won the Boy's 1A basketball championship in 1999 under Coach Doug Meyer. ALA was also 2A Runner-Ups in 2005 and 2006 under Coach Doug Meyer.[1]
ALA won the Girl's 1A basketball championship in 1991 under Coach Bob Gruetzmacher. ALA was the Girl's 2A Runner-Ups in 1990 under Coach Bob Gruetzmacher. [2]

Track and Field
In 1998, ALA won the AIA Class 1A Girl's State Track and Field Championship under Coach Joan Tierney. Coach Tierney also led the Coyotes to Girl's State 1A Runner-Up honors in 1993, 1994, and 1999. [6]
ALA was also Boy's 1A Runner-Ups in 1998 and 1999 under Coach Joan Tierney. ALA finished Third Place in the 1A Championships in 1997 under Coach Joan Tierney.[7]
